ASME B18.2.1 Hex Bolts：SAE J 429 HEX BOLTS

This part of ISO 898 specifies mechanical and physical properties of
bolts, screws and studs made of carbon steel and alloy steel when
tested at an ambient temperature range of 10 °C to 35 °C.

Fasteners — the term used when bolts, screws and studs are
considered all together — that conform to the requirements of this
part of ISO 898 are evaluated at that ambient temperature range.

They might not retain the specified mechanical and physical
properties at elevated temperatures (see Annex B) and/or lower
temperatures.

ASTM A307 specification covers the chemical and mechanical
requirements for three grades (Grades A, B, and C) of carbon steel
bolts, studs, threaded rods with minimum tensile requirementY of 60 ksi. However Grade C has been replaced by ASTM F1554 Grade 36
Specification.

ASTM A193 specification covers high tensile alloy and stainless
steel fasteners for pressure vessels, valves, flanges, and fittings
for high temperature or high pressure service, or other special
purpose bolting applications.

ASTM A325 specification covers two types of quenched and tempered
steel heavy hex bolts in metric and imperial sizes for structural
purpose.

This specification covers two types of bolting grades quenched and
tempered, manufactured from high strength alloy steel.

Boron content can reach 0,005 %, provided that non-effective boron
is controlled by addition of titanium and/or aluminium.
